At the core of what Buffalo Mass Mob does is helping churches. Mass Mob 39 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Buffalo’s Old First Ward neighborhood fit our mission perfectly. Not only did the church get a boost in the pews and the collection basket, it also received a lot publicity in the weeks leading up to the mass.

Because of a weekend windstorm, power to the church was restored only a 1/2 hour before mass. A miracle. Our group was worried about the impact the storm would have on mass attendance. As an aside, we always worry about attendance at Mass Mobs. As usual though, Buffalo came through and packed the church. Thank you, Buffalo. Without the people who come to Mass Mobs, they wouldn’t be a success.
