Thank you, Buffalo. Even when we visit a parish that isn’t our regular church, the warm reception we receive from the Mass Mob host makes us feel at home. Jesus taught that welcoming strangers is a fundamental aspect of the Christian faith, equating it directly with welcoming Him. That’s how we felt today. Thank you to Fourteen Holy Helpers Parish for your hospitality. Everything—from the music to the ministry of having an interpreter signing for those who are deaf or hard of hearing during Mass, and the reception afterward—reminds us of the universality of the Catholic Church. Despite the struggles in our local diocese lately, we must remember that we belong to something greater than ourselves and celebrate our faith.
